Story behind the piece
Having lived in Cairo for two and a half years, I can assure you that the heat there is no joke 😵💫
As I struggled a lot with the heat, I had to find an alternative with an ultra-light and breathable material to wear my khimar. Wanting a basic yet covering cut and not being a big fan of multi-layered khimars, I opted for layering the material in the same size. Indeed, muslin must be lined to prevent transparency. I chose two sizes so that everyone could have the coverage they needed.
As soon as the prototype arrived, I wanted to do a crash test: I was VERY surprised by its lightness and comfort. Well, when you add the weight of a khimar/niqab/glasses to your ears, wow, I can tell you that by the end of the day, your ears hurt. But this one! Its lightness allowed me to bear it much better, even my glasses didn't hurt my ears, I was really happy. After that, it was CERTAIN that I would offer it to my sisters so they could enjoy the softness and comfort of this material.
Material description & care instructions:
Chiffon Muslin: It is a very light, breathable, fluid, transparent chiffon material, therefore lined in the layers, with a matte finish. A universal material that satisfies everyone. Easily wrinkle-free with steam. Machine wash at 30°, air dry on a hanger.
Important info: From one production to another, a color may have differences in fabric shades, beyond our control. Indeed, our fabrics are ethically manufactured and dyed on site in Egypt, and we have them dyed according to our needs for each production.

The collection was mostly shot on a white dress to really distinguish the piece itself, its shape, its cut, its drape, and its details. We do not sell white abayas or tunics.

Are the colors identical to the photos?
It is sometimes difficult to achieve the exact same rendering, but we do our best. We would also like to state that depending on the production, differences in pigmentation may occur from time to time, as our fabrics are ethically dyed on site.
