Today I'd like to explain the importance of cleaning your clothes when you first receive them. I know we're eager to wear them, BUT here's what happens, or at least everything that happened before you received your garment in your hands:

- the fabric is manufactured
- it's taken to the dye house
- it's then taken to the workshop

We live in Cairo, which is a very dusty desert. Know that with every outing, they are exposed to the dust of an extremely polluted city.

- in the workshop, they will be handled by an incalculable number of people

Cutting, sewing, quality control, steaming, chalk, pencil, labeling, packaging, boxing

Then it's tossed from airport to airport, sometimes touching 3 airports (Cairo / Amman / Paris).
Then it's in logistics. You can imagine it's subjected to a lot of touching without being cleaned, and even then, we're talking about safe and ethical manufacturing. I can't even imagine when it's not.

I'd like to make you aware of this so you wash your clothes upon receipt, even if you're eager to wear them. It's IMPERATIVE to go through this step to ensure safety between you and everything that has touched the fabric.

So, sister, as soon as you unpack them, give them a quick spin in the washing machine, even on a quick cycle 🫶🏻
